"Good: Looks nice. 1060 steel is better than most commercial damascus swords. Nice leather fittings, nice lacquer finish on sheath. Bad: Looking at the blade from handle to tip, you can see that the grinding is slightly uneven, typical of stamped damascus. United Steel tagline stamped very prominently on the blade, and is cut deeper into the blade than I like. Balance is a little too far forward - if you have the tools, put on a heavier pommel. Also, doesn't come very sharp out of the box, and sharpening a full sized sword is not an easy task. Other: Very small tsuba guard."
